Steve was born on August 27, 1948, in Knoxville, Tennessee, to the late Albert and Algadee Major. He graduated from Fulton High School in Knoxville and East Tennessee State University. He went on to enjoy a successful career with Liberty Mutual Insurance and retired in 2007. He was a friend to all who knew him and never met a stranger.
