Friday August 2, 2024: Today on Young and Restless, Mariah tells Tessa how concerned she is about Sharon, Victor and Billy taunt each other, and Daniel offers to make a game honoring Cassie.
Thursday’s recap: Sharon hallucinated seeing Cameron Kirsten after revealing she’s off her meds, and Lily admitted she’s still playing Billy.

As Victor and Nikki eat at Society, he fills her in on Lily staying at Chancellor.
Devon doesn’t like it, but it will be their gain.
She agrees, but worries she could get hurt in the takeover.
He explains how he is going to avoid that.
Billy walks in and orders a drink at the bar. They smirk at him.
He wanders over and starts goading Victor about his plans to fly in and takeover the company.
Nikki chews as Billy accuses her husband of sabotaging Abbott-Chancellor.
Victor says that name has the stench of failure. Billy asks Nikki if she’s going along with this little plan.
Nikki doesn’t think that Katherine would be happy about the way things are going. Changing the name is also disrespecting her.
Victor tells Billy that he is lying to himself and his plans are ridiculous. They just want to look out for Neil’s children.
Billy didn’t know they are the guardians of all these legacies.
Victor refuses to let Billy’s hubris destroy them.
He adds that Jill was wrong to give him control and he will be a failure.
Billy tells him that he will be the one who fails and suggests they enjoy their cold lunch.
Once he walks off, Victor tells Nikki she handled that well.
She’s concerned about Johnny and Katie. Victoria has already offered to handle the fallout.
Billy walks off as Lily calls him. He announces the have a party to plan.
When Billy gets to the office, he tells Lily that they need to plan a big launch party. She assumes this is about goading Victor.
She wonders why he’s feeling threatened.
He tells her all about the confrontation with Victor and Nikki.
She’s not sure what that accomplished.
He was just putting Victor on notice.
He suggests their party class things up and make a statement.
Nikki and Victor go to the office, talking about how predictable Billy is.
He’s sure this could go fast. Other than his wife and children, these games are what he lives for.
He loves sharing this with her and tells her it is all falling into place.

Meeting with Tessa in the park, Mariah apologizes for not having any big romantic gestures to match the ones she made.
Mariah tells her that what she’s dealing with now is scarier than a horror movie.
She explains her mom stopped taking her meds and it has messed with her head. “I’m sorry bae,” says Tessa.
Her wife explains they had an intervention with her and now Sharon will go away to get some rest.
Tessa says that sounds positive.
Mariah informs her she will be taking over at Cassidy First.
Tessa is sure she will kill it and suggests they visit Sharon so Aria can call her “mee-maw.”
Mariah doesn’t think that’s a good idea.
Seeing her just reminds her mom of Cassie.
Tessa reminds her that they have talked about her survivor’s guilt before.
Mariah says this isn’t about her, but her mom being reminded of the daughter she lost.
Sharon tells her she loves her for her but she knows she’s been avoiding her lately.
Her mom is suffering and she doesn’t know how to help.
At Sharon’s, a vision of a bloody Cameron appears.
He apologizes for not getting cleaned up since she killed him.
When he was alive, he wanted to be in her heart, now he’ll have to settle for being in her head.
She orders him out. He’d rather have a kiss like she gave Nick.
She threatens him with a paperweight and he asks if she’s planning to hit him again.
He disappears when Daniel shows up, noticing her brandishing a paperweight.
“I’m sure I’m the last person you want to see right now,” he says. He can see she’s rattled and offers to go.
She asks him to have a seat.
He asks if she knows their daughters are becoming friends.
She does. He asks how she feels about it.
Sharon says how she feels about him has nothing to do with how she feels about their daughters.
He knows Cassie has been on her mind a lot… Instead of trying to avoid what happened, he thought he should do the opposite.
He explains that he created his game to reconnect with his daughter.
What if he made a new game to help her reconnect with hers?
She doesn’t understand. He explains it’s about healing.
It’s about helping young people deal with complicated feelings.
That’s what Omegasphere was for. Sharon was impressed by that.
He wants to help honor Cassie.
It’s all sketchy but he was thinking it was something that could be used in school to promote emotional intelligence.
Sharon says he’ll have to talk to Mariah since she will be running things while she takes time out.
He says her family has told him how worried they are about her.
He hopes their conversation didn’t make things worse.
She says that no one needs to remind her of the daughter she lost.
They will always both feel this pain and loss.
They each need to find a way to deal with that.
Once he leaves, she calls to book a week away in the desert.
Cameron re-appears.
She closes her eyes and says that he is just an intrusive thought and will go away when she opens her eyes again.
When she does, he’s still there and laughing.
He follows her around the room, explaining that re-naming the company only made a connection between him and Cassie.
He’s flattered that he was asked to hang with her two great loves. He tells her that Nick doesn’t want her anymore.
She’s damaged goods. Why would any man want her?
She accuses him of voicing her insecurities.
He asks what she wants from him. It must be something since she keeps thinking of him.
She insists it’s just because of the trauma he called.
She’s going to leave town and heal.
“You can run, but you can’t hide from me,” he says, insisting that he will always be there.
He kisses her cheek and tells her she’s wrong about why he’s still there.
There’s a knock at the door and he disappears.
At Crimson Lights, Lucy approaches Faith and starts quizzing her about pool parties.
Faith says it wasn’t much of a party and apologizes for uninviting her.
Lucy asks her to the arena to see a band. Faith can’t.
She has to do something with her mom.
They sit and talk about the band.
Faith is convinced to come, offering to deal with her mom later.
Daniel shows up and hears that they are planning to go to the concert.
Following his daughter’s prompts, he lies to Faith about not being able to go to the concert.
Once Faith exits, he asks Lucy what that was about.
She promises he wasn’t trying to ditch him but it would mean a lot if she could go with Faith rather than him.
He doesn’t like her lying. He also thinks she should be with kids her own age.
Daniel knows she didn’t go to the pool party and lied about it. He found out by chance.
He can understand, but he wants her to avoid being stuck in a bad position with older kids.
She begs him to let her go to the concert.
He agrees so she hugs him.
When Faith gets home, she startles her mom and notices she’s flushed.
Her mom has just been planning her spa retreat and can’t wait to get there.
Faith tells her she may have just made a big mistake with Lucy.
“What are you doing back here?” Summer asks Kyle.
“Never mind that. How’s Harrison? And what the hell did you let happen to my son?” he asks.
“Why won’t you leave me alone?” asks Sharon.
“I’m here because you want me to be here,” Cameron tells Sharon.
“What the hell, Lucy?” asks Faith at the concert.
“Please, don’t be mad,” begs Lucy.
“Who gave you alcohol? How much have you had?” Faith demands.
