When Mariah checks in at Sharon’s, Faith explains she’s already gone. She’s been cleaning because the place is a mess.
The whole house is a mess. That’s out of character.
Faith assumes she must be overwhelmed at work but Mariah is sure there is more to it. Faith agrees.
In Victor’s office, he fills Nick in on Adam and Chelsea picking up Connor from the facility.
They are happy that the worst may now be behind them.
Victor hopes that Adam can now focus on running Newman Media.
Nick asks how he plans to take Chancellor from Jill and Billy. His dad isn’t explaining.
Mariah calls to ask if he’s seen Sharon. She explains that she’s disappeared and the house is a mess.
She’s not getting a good feeling about this.
Nick offers to help after he’s done this meeting.
When he returns to his father, Victor will only explain that he is formulating a plan.
Nick says his mom is eager to continue Katherine’s legacy. He’d like to help make that happen.
His father says that Lily is the wild card in all this and they need to know where her loyalties are.
Nick doesn’t think that Lily warrants being in his sights. Victor agrees.
He’s sure that Lily and Nikki will work well together and he doesn’t want her caught in the crossfire.
Nick keeps speculating on how he plans to pull this off.
Devon arrives. Victor called him over.
Nick congratulates him on his engagement and gives him a hug.
Victor asks him how things have been at the company since the split.
Victor is startled to hear that Lily has stayed with Billy and the company has been renamed Abbott-Chancellor.
That makes Victor sad. Devon is sad too but his sister seems set on her choice.
When Devon explains that he wishes his sister well but has no good will toward Billy, Victor bluntly asks if he wants to take him down.
Devon concedes that he and Billy don’t see eye to eye but he doesn’t want payback.
Victor pushes him to reconsider. Devon doesn’t want to go after Billy. It could hurt Lily.
Victor urges him to protect his sister by going after Billy.
He points out that Billy already ruined ChanceCom. This will be another disaster.
Chancellor will fall apart and he will be there to scoop it up.
Devon doesn’t want his sister hurt. Victor urges him to convince her to get out of Chancellor before it’s too late.
Nick walks Devon out and then asks his father what that was about.
His dad says he was just giving advice. Nick assumes that he did that so Devon would warn Lily and she would warn Billy.
Nick guesses his father has some convoluted plan.
“Let the excitement begin,” Victor says.
