Wednesday August 7, 2024: Sonny tells Jason what happened last night, Trina visits Ava in the cells, and TJ and his family pack up the nursery.
Tuesday’s GH recap: Sonny hallucinated Morgan, who tries to convince him not to jump, and Ava was charged with manslaughter.
Joss wakes up in bed with Dex. He gives her a good morning kiss.
She remembers Kristina. He explains someone texted him to say she made it through the night but doesn’t know about the baby.
He has to go to work. She wants to avoid the real world a little longer with him.
They make out.
At home, TJ is looking at funeral services when Molly comes in, scarfing foods and announcing the office needs her.
“I need you more,” he says. His family is coming to help him pack up the nursery.
She can’t be there for that. She can’t help get rid of what’s in there.
He understands but they have decisions to make that can’t wait, like a name and a funeral.
Jordan shows up and Molly claims she will be back in an hour.
Stella and Curtis join them and try to comfort TJ. The ladies insist on feeding him.
Curtis tells TJ he’s sure this isn’t easy but people deal with grief differently. TJ worries Molly isn’t dealing with it at all.
Stella tries to feed him some eggs, but TJ can’t eat. He feels like such an idiot. Everything was going well.
Out of all the way he thought Sonny could endanger his family, he never thought it would be like this.
They pack up the nursery to bring the stuff to the shelter. Stella urges him to keep something to remember his daughter by.
When TJ and Stella are left alone, she urges him to let it all out. He feels blank.
She tells him grief if love with no place to put it. The family is there to help him shoulder the burden.
Sobbing, he says he’s not ready to let go.
In the hallway, Curtis catches Jordan crying. She wishes she could take away TJ’s pain.
He says they can only show their support. “Like his domestic partner has?” she asks.
They agree Molly should be with him. Curtis is sorry for her loss and tells her she’s being strong for her son.
They go back inside, where Stella is still hugging TJ.
Stella says they should all leave. TJ says he could use some alone time.
They each hug him and file out. He’s left alone with a box of stuff.
He takes out some booties and sits and cries with them.
At General Hospital, Portia tells Liz what a fantastic job she’s doing as head nurse. Liz thanks her.
Portia repeats she’s doing a good job. Liz learned it all from Epiphany.

In the cells for the PCPD, Ava complains about the slop they left her to eat until Trina shows up.
She apologizes for helping to land her in there, but she wonders if what happened with Kristina was really an accident.
Ava insists she had nothing to do with the fall and she’s still spinning from it. She’s just getting the blame because she’s an easy scapegoat.
Once Trina leaves, Molly shows up with Dex as a witness.
She reads her the autopsy report on the baby. Ava begs her to stop.
The Jerome insists none of this was intentional. Molly says she still needs to take responsibility.
Ava says she did nothing wrong. Kristina lost it on her and tripped.
She’s sorry for her loss but she’s not responsible for the baby’s death: Kristina is.
Molly returns to her apartment but can’t bring herself to go in so she runs off.
Trina goes to see her mom at GH. She can’t stop thinking about Kristina losing the baby. She feels awful for everyone.
Portia says Ava is to blame. Trina insists she’s not. She just told her so when she visited her in jail.
She felt guilty for seeing Ava at the scene of the crime. She still doesn’t know what happened.
People always think the worst of Ava, but she doesn’t think she would hurt a child because she was there for her when Spencer died.
Trina wants to believe she is a good person deep down. Her mom says good people can do bad things.
She admits she’s not sure she believes Ava. Her mom is sure the police must have a reason for believing she’s guilty.
Portia gets a call and then tells her daughter that Heather is on her way to GH for a follow-up.
Jason is with Carly at her place. They are relieved that Sonny reached out to Kevin and is doing okay.
Jason drove him home and he was quiet. She assumes that his choice to ask Jason to drive him means he’s coming back to them.
She gets them coffee and tells him she’s relieved Sonny saw something was wrong with his meds.
They talk about what happened with Kristina and her likely confrontation with Ava about the subpoena.
He takes off and Joss shows up. Her mom fusses over her and gets her to sit down. She’s sure being the lifeguard on duty was devastating.
She’s glad she had Trina to decompress with.
Her daughter admits she spent the night with Dex. He makes her feel safe. That sounds perfect to her mom.
Donna pops up, happy to see her sister, who offers her vitamins. It’s Sonny’s lithium.
When she says she took a bunch, Carly says they need to get to the hospital.
Carly and Joss take Donna to GH and explain what happened to Liz.
Kevin drops in on Sonny at the penthouse. Sonny says he’s clearer and the doctor assumes that’s because his meds are working.
He’d like to discuss what happened last night.
They sit and discuss how hard Kristina’s fall hit him. People have been noting he’s “off” for awhile but he didn’t trust them.
Last night, he realized something was really wrong. Kevin put a rush on his blood test and they showed he had no lithium in his system.
Sonny doesn’t understand. He’s been taking his meds every day.
Kevin wants them to schedule some sessions so they can recalibrate.
Sonny is relieved there is something physical at play.
Once the doctor exits, Jason arrives and Sonny fills him in on how hard it hit him when Molly blames him for Kristina’s fall.
He says she wasn’t wrong. He always hurts the people he loves.
That’s why he went on the hospital roof. He wanted to end things but Morgan stopped him.
Jason suggests that Morgan must have been the part of him that realized something was medically wrong.
Sonny thinks so. That’s why he went to see Kevin. He didn’t tell him about Morgan though.
Joss calls and tells Sonny that Donna is at the ER because she took his lithium. “What?” he asks.
Sonny arrives at the hospital with Jason. Carly and Joss fill him in about the pills Donna took.
She’s having her stomach pumped and hoping she will be okay.
Liz comes out and explains that Donna is fine. The capsules were tested. There was no medication in the pills.
“You tellin’ me I been takin’ placebos?” asks Sonny.
Kevin goes to the cells to see Ava. She worries about her daughter being with Sonny while he’s out of control.
She ask him to speak on her behalf at the arraignment.
Kevin says Sonny is getting treatment and will not be a danger to Donna. He gets a call about Sonny’s meds.
